US President Joe Biden Hosts Diwali Reception at the White House | Vantage with Palki Sharma

US President Joe Biden on Monday (Oct 28) hosted a Diwali celebration at the White House. More than 600 eminent Indian-Americans, from across the United States, attended the celebration. Biden lit the formal diya in the Blue Room of the White House. Biden hailed the 2024 Diwali celebrations as the biggest ever at the White House. “As President, I’ve been honoured to host the biggest Diwali receptions ever at the White House,” he said. Indian-American astronaut Sunita Williams, also sent her Diwali greetings through a video link from the International Space Station (ISS).
