In this control engineering and control theory tutorial, we explain how simulate state-space models in MATLAB for user-defined control inputs. First, we explain how to define a state-space model and how to define a control input. After that, we explain how to use MATLAB's function lsim() to simulate the state-space model. Finally, we explain how to simulate the state-space model to arbitrary control inputs.
