Loved the Maiden Voyage. It was a great introduction to the game.

Since Maiden Voyage takes place even before The Hungering Deep, adding other features to the tutorial does not make sense.

HOWEVER... This tutorial is still the biggest proof that this game is not new player friendly.

Maiden Voyage is cinematic, beautiful and freshening. But it basically teaches you nothing.

Even if the tutorial can't be changed much, what I would like is that the new players are lead to seaforts and treasuries. Why? Because the game does not really lead you to anywhere after doing that 1 X marks the spot map. Sure, this makes sense for a sandbox game. Still, so many players just leave the game thinking that is it.

Seaforts and Treasuries are cool enough to keep a new player in while being easy with lots of loot. They would be a good place to learn how firebombs and such work. After doing those things and warming up with the game, They will start to discover all the other stuff this game has to offer by themselves. Including the sandbox itself.

Just my thoughts at a little improvement.

Not sure about helpful, but it is really nice that we can get some in game currency from some secret path

I love the voyage but to be honest with you it only taught me how to eat a banana 🙂
