A portable gaming PC is easier said than done! Building a system that can be safely and securely stored and lugged around in a backpack is not a foreign idea for this channel - so I wanted to take things up a notch! Let's see just how powerful a rig we can build that will bit into an every-day backpack! Hope you enjoy!

I had that EXACT model SwissGear backpack for the entirety of Middle School, High School, College, and ten years of my career and it's STILL in use for me. lol

Greg's commitment to the context of this video is really commendable - always going the extra mile for his viewers - no matter the back pain as a consequence. :)

The NR200 is awesome! I put a 7800X3D and RX 7900 XTX in mine, and the temps are surprisingly good. It looks great and works fantastically well as a Living Room gaming PC, fitting perfectly on the entertainment center

Thats a clean build Greg. Most of the time with off builds, they have cable management problems. This one is super clean.

Many years ago, I did something similar to this in a cheap thermaltake microwave-shaped case that fit quite well in a thrift store duffel bag. Later on I downsized to a formd t1 and shoved it in a travel backpack, and finally made it to a LAN party earlier this year.

There’s something nice about just being able to shove your desktop in a bag and take it elsewhere.

NR200 is one of the bigger ITX cases lol! I highly recommend the KXRORS S300 case. 8.1 liters and definitely fits inside a backpack :)

I love this case! I did my first ITX build in it (7800X3D and RTX 4090) and it was super simple. It may be too big to stick into a backpack and fly, but it's so easy for me to pack it into the car when I'm driving to visit family.

The NR200 even fits a standard ATX power supply by using an adapter. It fits some specific m-atx motherboards as well. Thats why its one of the bigger itx cases though

it is nice too see an ITX case with air cooling instead of liquid one

Got to love those hiking backpack. So much room for so much other stuff. Though a fishing backpack would work just fine.

A Fractal Ridge ITX case would make a great candidate for a Backpack v3 video. That case is thin enough to fit in any backpack and looks like a nice little game console that can sport high end gaming hardware inside.

I was so excited to see this video on my feed! The first backpack PC was made for me and I still use it every day and have had no issues!
Considering mine fit in the Swiss gear bag I have a feeling this one is a lot bigger tho😂
