Wired charging is faster, yes. Heat lost in the induction is part of the cause for that. But not having to plug your phone in every time you want to charge is an advantage. 1) It prolongs the life of the port. 2) Charging becomes subconscious. ^TM

Once you go wireless, you can't go back. it's so easy to just plop it on the pad (especially in the dark, no fiddling with cables) and come on, its pretty cool that it can charge without needing to be plugged in.

Slower charging is better for your battery, i usually charge mine overnight.
Qi reduces the amount of times i plug in my device, you never know when your micro usb port might break.

I've been observing that the black iPhone 5's turn on with an animation and the white one just turns on without an animation. What does Apple have to say about that?
