Was I too mean to the Multistrada? Ducati probably won’t like this video but I felt it was important to not sugarcoat how I felt about riding this bike 👍🏻

Probably the best, most innovative, motorcycle so far in 2021. The fuel consumption is bad, but what can you expect from a v-four with 170 hp. The rest is just top notch « appliances ». So, of course it’s expensive. I love this bike.

When your 50 years old. You might change your mind about a bike like this. I felt the same way. I would rather be uncomfortable and ride something fun. Now that I'm older. My hands, wrist, and back get sore after 10 mins on a sports bike. A bike like this can be more enjoyable. Even if it's not as fast at the track.

Papa Yams review is nice and honest, but the only thing I can take from it is that Yam isn’t into expensive sport touring adventure bikes, or whatever you want to call a BMW GS, KTM Adventure, Tiger 1200, etc. This sort of bike is exactly what someone wants who only wants to have one bike, for sporty long distance travel.

Put a Triumph decal on that and he will be over the moon with it.

Here is one very subjectiv verdict from some that does not like this kind of bike. And there are at leats 20 videos an the internet, which celebrate the new V4. That why i bought one. After 2 delightful weeks: it is by far the best bike i ever did ride.
Probably 90 % of bikers can not afford such a high end bike. I think the author just tried to serve the envyness feelings of those...

I’ve had a 2018 Multi 1260S for 4 years. It transformed me from a 690 Duke noob to shredding it on Laguna Seca. I get how the 19 inch wheel version is trying to do to many things, but a focused version, like the Pikes Peak, is a force to reckon with. I’ve owned 26 motorcycles, nothing makes me feel like king of the road like the Multi….

I bought a 2020 1260 last year. My first MTS. I came from sport bikes.

1) the skyhook suspension is amazing. Unless you’ve pushed it hard you won’t understand how awesome it is
2) insanely powerful, Vtwin has super linear power. 160hp/90flbs torque is more than any of my 600cc sport bikes and it shows
3) incredible handling, I can easily keep up with my sport bike buddies in the mountains (haven’t taken it to the track and probably won’t)
4) comfort, heated grips, great seat, aggressive riding position

I’m in love. I honestly wont buy another street bike that isn’t an MTS. Now for the track, I can’t wait to get another 675 ;)

I love the Ducati Multistrada V4S & it's the best motorcycle I've ever rode or owned, everyone has their own opinion & I just gave mine. Ride safe & go Ducati.

Ok. So you want more “Sole and discomfort”. Than turn off the traction control, turn off the wheelie control, turn off the abs, turn off the heated grips and seat, turn off your cardio headset playing music, and ride the bike “raw”. I understand what you are trying to get at but it seems insane to bash a bike for being too well kitted out....especially when you literally have the option to disable all of those fancy add-ons.

So glad to hear somebody not like it. I think 9 of my friends have ordered one now, and myself too. It’ll be Bike of the Year. You’ve assured that. 😆

Interesting. I just had one for the weekend, and as far as sporty fun road bikes go, it was amazing. Handling was fantastic. Smile inducing for me. Not for you. Fuel mileage was the only negative I had. Bikers are a broad church clearly.

“10/10 on long distance travel.” I think Ducati nailed it. And, it will lift the front end all the way through 4th gear.

I love that you put your own opinions in the review without sugarcoating it, that's what I look for. Most motorcycling journalists are just "specs sheet narrators" :)
