I been there 3 weeks, I do stowing, but I’m trying to see what rate so they expect. I’ve asked management, but each one give me different answers. Some say 150-200 long as you doing quality work with less mistakes, then I hear 200-250 they will keep ya and that’s fair, 250-300, in the meeting they say 400. 300-400 is crazy work though

i start doing this upcoming sunday. i was getting incredibly sick and tired of customer returns. it was either quit or find another job, which i dont have many options

There are shops that don't have robots. They have to walk all over the wear house picking by hand. That would be horrible. With robots I think I'd like to be a picker.

Yeah NO. Everything she said is absolutely wrong. The totes do NOT have ANY attachment, otherwise they’re considered DIRTY totes in the system and will light up red and not work. You MUST have totes not associated to ANYTHING to use them for a new tote for pick. Also, those robots are going at less than 1/10 speed, so he’s not even coming close to half of what the national rate is…. He’s hitting like 100 UPH MAYBE… the rate is 350. I could do as high as 650 UPH for a full 10 hour shift however I’m in AR now so I don’t pick.

So, the likelihood those items in a tote get picked by one picker depends on the factory but usually it’s about 10-20% for normal fulfilment. Sub same day facilities are different. So that chance is based on how much of a facilities packing is done in single pack. Single pack gets full totes to a packer direct. AFE multipack has a position in between that splits the totes and puts the items into two way cubbies for the packers on the other side. This again is based on how many packages are single item or same item orders compared to multiple different items on the same order. Single pack is much more streamlined and most likely to be faster delivered to your door than AFE multiple different item orders.

Realistically though people are Amazon are slow and don’t last or fast AF. So even in AFE a tote would likely get split into multiple cubbies… to end up packed by the same packer anyways because they’re fast. The totes get split to the SAME WALL. They don’t get split up ever after pick farther than 15 feet from eachother NO MATTER WHAT unless it’s damaged out, and that lasts til it goes down the final conveyor packed to shipping.

Bro couldn’t even find the right barcode… and they specifically don’t like people going off the red scan green scan noises they want you to read ASINs in products… so that guy would get fired at my facility fast AF because he’s too slow, inaccurate and not reading ASINs and failing to identify the correct items the first time. CMH1.

These clowns have no business telling anyone about Amazon whatsoever. Embarrassing. 🤦‍♂️🤡
