The Republicans have branded her a ‘border czar’, and blamed her for increased immigration.

Polling shows Trump has a major advantage when it comes to this hot button issue.

Harris was also a leading voice for abortion rights in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

She is viewed as a staunch defender of women’s reproductive rights.

All eyes will be on the Democratic National Convention next month, with the road to victory far from clear.

But many in the party believe Kamala Harris is the best chance they have of defeating Donald Trump in November.
