The LUDT 0.008” behind the edge. Wow, that is a grind that a custom knife maker does.

Which state makes the most knives? Oregon has 5 or 6 companies.

All great choices! I just got my first zaan last week. I have 2 socoms, so hard not to just keep buying them lol. Any idea if they are making 2020 socoms?

Great video. I’ve been on a huge knife kick lately. Got a new LUDT and love it. As far as the socom, I ordered one but was very disappointed in the quality but I may give it another chance again. I could not get the blade to center as it was way off when I got it and it had so much blade play at lock up. In the mean time I’m looking at a hinder. Also have a GT recon-035 I’m excited to receive any day now. Only USA for me as well.

I have about 25 knives and it would be really easy to go all USA with no major sacrifice.

My top five. Chris reeve. Three rivers manufacturing. Syderco that are made in golden Colorado. Benchmade, but further purchases are on hold ! Number five is a one man show called gillian knives, it's the fallen star . He is fun to deal with and the quality is great .
I never cared for Chinese knives . Enough said about Chinese.

I own 30 plus production knives, all U.S. made, no doubles. I'm not interested in reviews of foreign made knives. American brands made overseas are also a no go for me. MERICA!

I could have predicted your top five all day long. Lol. No surprise but thats cause you have a smaller collection. I can appreciate that fact. I think thats the way to go. At most 10 knives, and make them all quality choices. Of course all users. I dont believe in safe queens at all. I need to thin out my collection and take that cash and put it into a grail knife. Not even sure of the grail.

Microtech nope lots of issues, shady too, strider stolen valor and lots of other problems,
hinderer ehh lots of problems throughout the years.

Microtech and hinderers tested low in cut tests but iirc only one of each were tested. I'd never knowingly pay that kind of money for poo poo performance and nice handles.

Spyderco is one I can get behind but isn't perfect and has some issues like no blade replacements, and tend to compression lock everything. But overall heat treatment is leading over most manufacturers (in recent years anyway).

Crk is among one of my favorite USA companies next to spyderco. Great heat treatment and quality. Fewer problems. Though the blade movement in the 31 is not being taken seriously.

Emerson... Quality issues but overall useful in that they are pry bars and Fast to deploy.
