What a fabulous idea, loneliness is a killer.
A friend of mine died and was found after a week. I was looking for her after three days because we talked every other day. After 4 days I called our workplace, sent a note to the charge nurse but after a week her daughter who lives out of state called neighbors and was found dead.
This is a good idea, I am a nurse in California, I always called family when I receive a patient who lives alone. I always tell them the animals cannot call 911 when you fall.
What a refreshing story, do not brand this very important venture with an ugly name, it is older people helping and coming together after the kids are gone. Thanks, CBS, this is a very important topic to me, as a nurse. We need to care more for our parents. Nurse Abibatu

GOOD! maybe boomers can stop harassing me now about things I should afford and how I need to "try harder". Now that it affects them they might see that things really have changed.
