Your video is very helpful. It shows the reality of checking in to board the ship. This is better than other videos I've seen that just show the ship and say they are boarding, then miraculously they are in their cabin. It's a long, confusing process to get on board! Especially if you are dropped off in the wrong place.

Thank you so much for showing the process! It is so much easier to prepare and go to the right areas to see it on video.

I have watched a few vids on the Vancouver Port to figure out the process and this is the only one that showed the whole walk through, instead of editing out the walking between stations. It was the between parts that finally solidified how to navigate the process. Thank you very much for showing your travel path between arrival, luggage drop off, check in, security and boarding.

I did a cruise out of Vancouver about the same time (mid June). As you noticed in the video, you better wear a good pair of walking shoes cause you will be walking a lot from phase 1 to 3. First phase is dropping off your luggage, if you arrive here by taxis...then I'm hoping that they will drop you off at "P2". If you're arriving here by foot...the author did exactly the correct thing, by walking down the ramp, which will take you to "P1"...and you will need to take an elevator to "P2"...the wait time can be LONG, b/c the line you see in the video is for 1 small elevator and with people with luggage. You cannot get to P2 by stairs, but there is another elevator about 30 sec walk will need to ask someone that works there, and he/she will point you to the right direction (you can take this instruction with a grain of salt, facing the elevator, you want to go right and walk about 100 feet, and you will see the elevator on the right)...this elevator is less busy, but when you get off the elevator, there will be NO blue print on the pavement, you will need to look for the "Check-in" signs up high and walk in that direction....while doing so, watch out for traffic, cars will be exiting the parkade....not dangerous, but keep your eyes open. Phase 2 is the check in stage (with your cruise liner)...then to Phase 3 TSA security, here the author is "domestic", and not international. So he proceeded to the kiosk and did a self declaration...you scan your passport, answer a few questions, and take a picture. The machine will issue you a white piece of paper...take that...and move on to the next stage. Here you will line up to talk to a TSA agent....if you have a Nexus, Global Entry..you will see a line for that. Once you pass the TSA, you're at the waiting room. AWESOME VIDEO!!! Great port of Vancouver is a total nightmare, and this video helps a lot.

Best POV of embarkation through Vancouver on HAL I've seen so far!

Of all the embarkation videos out of Vancouver, this is by far the BEST one. No intro, just right to the point. I keep reading, โ€œa lot of up the stairs, down the stairs, total chaos, difficult to know where to go, etc. โ€œ, you are the first one to actually show the process (if you can call it that). Thank you again!! We are going on a Royal Caribbean ship next May out of Vancouver so I was a bit nervous about embarkation day ๐Ÿ˜ณ. After seeing your video, I feel a lot better and more prepared.

This video is excellent! I truly hope you get a lot more views... it completely takes out the guesswork on what to expect for cruise embarkation day at Canada Place, Vancouver. Well done and thank you! ๐Ÿ˜Š

How you kept smiling throughout this cluster is amazing and kept filming as well. Thank you so much so the rest of us know what we are in for. I saw other videos that showed the nightmare at customs and the long waits and saw comments that told people to get themselves a backpack with wheels and now I know truly what good advice that is. I learned that long ago cruising but worth repeating. I am a Canadian who is proud of my country and the beautiful city of Vancouver---but come on Canada---we can do better than this. They need to get a decent elevator that handles the volumes and should also go to Miami and check out the new Norwegian terminal-. It was a dream checking in there. We actually have heard of automation in Canada they need to use it

Thank you so much! I watched your video before my Alaskan Cruise, and it really helped my travel anxiety. I will say that the process is very easy. There were people at every point guiding you. I think the entire process took about 75 minutes.

I watched a bunch of fancy videos that look like influencer videos that werenโ€™t nearly as helpful as this video. Thank you!

Thank you for your video. We are going to Alaska, on the Volendam, this week and this was very helpful with knowing just how much walking and going up and down there is before you can get on the ship.

You did a super, straightforward video! Hubby and I are looking forward to our Boston to Montreal aboard her this summer and it's the first time we will be going through this type of embarkation. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I have watched ALOT of videos on how to navigate the Vancouver Cruise Terminal. Your's is exactly what I needed. Actually videoing while going through the process. Thank you, and excellent job on this video!

You don't have to go down the ramp. There is an elevator in the hotel rotunda area.

I had same experience dropping luggage. Absolute cluster. Hate the process at Vancouver. Which is too bad, as Vancouver itself is great. The embarcation process is the worst I have ever experienced.
