It is very important to Dimash to promote his culture and it was his dream to bring this song to the rest of the world, he was obviously very moved to achieve this. It was even more moving at his New York concert where all the Dears had learnt the song and sang with him in Kazakh 😀🇬🇧

This concert was at Astana Arena in Kazakhstan in July 2017. With an audience of 40, 000 people from different parts of the world. Daididau is special in the art of Dimash. I always dream of letting the world know about the music and culture of Kazakhstan and is fulfilling it. At their concerts the audience sings alongside Dimash. It is a very emotional moment. The singer contestant was from January - April 2017. Only 2 months later he had this first big solo concert "Bastau" which means "the beginning" in his hometown. People from so many different countries traveled to Kazakhstan too see him live. And he fulfilled his childhood dream presenting his culture to the world on a big stage. He was so emotional, because this song means a lot to him and the crowd sang the chorus.

I love when the performer includes their culture, so powerful. Being proud of your culture is very important & beautiful. And of course Dimash sings beautiful as always. My country Wales has a costume that represents my culture and traditions, had to wear the to school every march 1st when we celebrate the day of our patron saint David or in my language he's known as Dewi sant (means saint David). 💖😎👌🎶

This song is based on a poem by a famous Kazakh poet who was imprisoned because the government wanted him gone for his ideas. In prison he was misinformed that his wife had left him and he wrote this poem for her.

This song is so sad (someone already mentioned about the background) and Dimash had a dream of singing history/ traditional related song in a huge stage, in front of his international fans! This was the day and he became emotional at the end. Instrument he played at the beginning with many people is called Dombra (traditional Kazakh instrument) and it has honored place in Kazakh’s culture. It can be seen even from a way how Dimash passed it to a girl once he finished playing. Instrument you were curious about is called Kobyz (the one that looks like violin). As always, Dimash puts so many details in his performance that everything has a meaning! Thanks for your reaction!

Hi, the instrument at the beginning is a tipical kazakh "dombra" (only 2 strings) he learned to play it from his grandpa when he was a child. Stay safe
