I love the walk to dog movement. Great videos, I can’t wait for spring 🤙

i use the lil doc from driftwater. it's about 6-7", 2.8 oz. turned into my favorite plug for the fall when i needed something durable that i could slap off the cliffs. they cast better than the regular 9" doc and you can work them with a tighter action. the docs are a lot more durable and aggro than a wooden spook. i run an extremely beefy front treble and a 5/0 rear single. as heavy as a 7/0. but i catch a lot more on wooden spooks and there are a bunch of reasons for that. the first obviously is that i use them more, but why would i if the action is generally worse? wooden spooks cast better. poombah, jigsmith, 24/7, etc, they all make a 1.5-2.25 or so oz spook that casts a mile compared to the doc. the doc has one other major advantage over a wooden spook other than its extreme durability and rattle ; they are incredibly buoyant. they stay on the surface when its rough and they tear up the water more than a wooden spook, which can get lost in big water.
