“Praise You In this Storm”. was actually written for a little girl in North Carolina who had cancer. She knew they were writing a song for her but sadly, she died before it was released.

I’m a relatively new Casting Crowns’ fan. I was raised on the classic hymns and Southern Traditional Gospel Music. I had heard of them for quite awhile but hadn’t heard any of their work until a tornado swept through our county, Sumner, in Middle TN. Someone made a storm montage showing the damage and clean up activity and put it on Youtube with “Praise You In The Storm” playing in the background. I just couldn’t stop listening to it. It was soooo good! “Who Am I” really speaks to me. I’m 61 years old and this flower is definitely quickly fading, but I am cheered that I’m just one more step closer to being with my Jesus. Billy if you haven't reacted to Voice of Truth by Casting Crowns you are missing out. I actually sang it in memory of my grandma after she passed. She heard me singing it one day and asked me to sing it in church for her. I kept putting it off so many times. That she wasn't physically there to hear me sing it but I know she could hear me singing it for her and I was crying as I sang it because yes Jesus is my voice of truth but so was my grandma growing up. No matter what I was going through. I knew I could turn to her even if I didn't want to hear it she let me have it. I love and miss you grandma. I pray that we will be reunited in heaven one day and what a day that will be.

Casting Crowns- "Praise you in this storm" literally got me through the toughest trial I ever faced.. my husband and I struggled to grow our family for 7 years... we had to do IVF and the first time we did it, it failed... i listened to this non stop for weeks! We didn't lose hope and were finally able to get pregnant with our son, Abel. Then 2 years later, we conceived another son without the help of doctors! God is so good!
