Fear and hope: Abdel Rahman Murphy at TEDxUMD

A graduate student at the University of Tennessee, Mr. Abdel Rahman Murphy serves as a youth director in his community. Having had extensive experience in teaching and mentoring, he shares his insights into the use of fear and hope as powerful motivators and encourages audiences not to choose one over the other, but to recognize the place of each.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
