as long as those true indie devs dont get their games pirated, everything is fine.

but for real, its nice to see someone paying back when he was able to.
and nowadays games slowly started doing more demos again i feel like.

Extremely relatable. Used to pirate a lot, no other option if I wanted to game. Now that conveniance, prices, and my financial means, have improved, I bought the overwhelming majority of games I played pirated initially.

Yep did that with most of my old favorites most are at 0 hours because ill never play them again but i had so much fun growing up i had to just support the devs

Pirating shogun 2 got me into total war I have probably spent 500 pounds on the series now

I tend to do this, even if I finished the game. I like the idea of having my Steam library there as a repository for easy access to a catalog of games. and with early access stuff you still end up buying it because its a lot less hassle getting the updates

Piracy actually helped to build a following for so many games when I was younger in the same way that in a F2P game, non-paying customers actually improve the experience for paying customers by keeping a game active. Massive player numbers with slightly lower sales vs higher sales but lower player numbers. It's harder to resurrect a dead game and no-one comes back to a poor experience

Shadow of War was so good, idc about lotr lore or deep plot, I only care about good, smooth gameplay, and this game, give me everything I want. It's a shame, we didn't get any new Shadow Of Games from this devs😢

I torrented Fallout 3 and Dying light back when I was poor and now that I have money I've probably bought like 5 copies of both for different friends and myself 😅
