what a great behind-the-scenes look at Häagen-Dazs, love how detailed the process is! but honestly, while the ice cream looks delicious, I can’t help but think it’s a bit overrated. there are so many amazing local brands out there that deserve more recognition, don’t you think?

I'm from Denmark and him choosing the name because it sounded Danish and therefore more mysterious and exclusive (thanks Reuben, lol) is so funny to me, because Häagen-Dasz doesn't sound remotely Danish (we don't even use the "ä" but rather the "æ" and rarely use "z"), but sounds more like Dutch or German. Not bashing him or anything, seeing as he emigrated at 10 years old so he might have mixed things up a bit, just thought it was a funny and rather cute story! :)

Great video! I really enjoyed the behind-the-scenes look at how Häagen-Dazs is made. However, I can’t help but wonder if the process is a bit too commercialized. I mean, isn’t fresh, local ice cream from small shops often more flavorful and special? Just a thought!

i really enjoyed the behind-the-scenes look at how Häagen-Dazs ice cream is made, it’s fascinating! however, i gotta say, i don't understand the hype around ice cream with so many flavors. sometimes, keeping it simple with classics like vanilla or chocolate is way more satisfying. what do you all think?

What a fascinating video! I really enjoyed the behind-the-scenes look at how Häagen-Dazs makes their ice cream. It’s cool to see the whole process, but honestly, I think some of their flavors are a bit overrated. Like, how many different variations of chocolate do we really need? Just a thought!

I have been a vanilla ice cream man my whole life. My go too for years was my local Umpqua ice cream. It was good.
Then I decided to branch out and try different ones. Dryers, Ben & Jerrys, any brand that had a vanilla. I tried them all.
They all tasted pretty much the same, the slow churned variety's I really didn't like.
Then I landed on Häagen-Dasz vanilla ice cream. Seemed simple enough, expensive, 7$ for 28oz was the most expensive generic ice cream. I was skeptical, until I tasted it.... I couldn't believe how much better it tasted than all the others, even the other expensive brands where nothing. It blew my hair back.
It was like I had true vanilla ice cream for the first time in Häagen-Dasz where all the others where just imitations. Like all the others where missing something that Häagen-Dasz had added. I find that ironic since Häagen-Dasz vanilla only uses 5 ingredients.
That was about 2 years ago. Ever since I will go through two to three 28oz containers in a month. To hell with the cost, its worth every penny. I have to be careful not to eat too much, it tastes so good I will devour it without even realizing how much I have eaten.
That first container emptied in just 3 days as I recall.
Long live Häagen-Dasz!!!

Our favorite flavor is coffee. But sometimes, strawberry takes the #1 position. We always have vanilla, coffee and strawberry in the house and eat it liberally!
