CXR INTERPRETATION:
* Patient: Name/DOB/Sex/ Hop. #
* Previous films?
* Radiograph: Date, Type (AP/PA, Sit/Stand, Exp/Insp)
* Adequacy: RIPE
- Rotation = Clavicles with spine
- Inspiration = 5 anterior ribs
- Picture = Scapula outside
- Exposure = Vertebrae behind heart

Interpretation:
1. Airway —> Tracheal deviation
2. Breathing —> Pleural thickening? Hilar region? Fields collapse)
3. Circulation —> Heart Size/Position/Shape/Borders + Mediastum
4. Diaphragm —> Position/Shape/Air bubbles/Costophrenic angles
5. Extras —> Bones (fractures), Soft tissues and Lines

A- airway see if there is any deviation
B- breathing, look at kings
C- look at cardia silhouette
D- diaphragm, look for costoprhenic angle and any air under neath
E- everyhting else, lines and bones basically

I wish my radiologist would have spent more time on my chest xray. She missed some fractures and just said everything was the same as last time with my fractures. But I had new ones that were small but visible. Now I have anxiety every time I get a radiology report that they missed something.
