Meghan McCain Says Her Success Threatened 'The View'

Graeme O'Neil takes a look at Meghan McCain's first TV interview about her book "Bad Republican", where she says her success on "The View" threatened the show.

The show has always been a success, and she is just such an eyeroll super rich Republican kid who reached her levels of success via nepotism. Joy, Whoopi, Sunny and Sara are all from humble backgrounds and have experienced real life as teachers, lawyers, struggling performers, so their view is interesting as regular people. The daughter of a crazy rich political family crying wolf over bullying when she herself proved to be spiteful is just such a bore. I wish her the best and I actually liked her on the show despite disagreeing with her, but this was a really tacky move.

Meghan is so delusional. She was always so rude, talked over co-host, and so disrespectful. Ever since she left, everyone became more light hearted. This is obviously a marketing strategy to promote interest for her book.

She hasn´t got a clue. She really thinks it is about her being conservative. Your political view doesn´t matter but we like normal discussions without screaming and people that are trying to make a point that is actually supported with facts and /or experience. She wasn´t capable of that.

I can't speak to what went on behind the scenes but from what I did see and hear, Megan was actually very rude and the way she spoke to her co-hosts was beyond petulant, you gotta love the feisty part of Megan but it was obvious kid gloves were required to try maintain any balance on the panel, "mainstream liberal media" "conservative" "republican" doesn't excuse you for being a brat and saying whatever the hell you want with no consequence

Oh she made the show great, is she kidding me.. She was the only reason I quit watching except when she was on maternity leave. Then when she returned I quit again until she was gone for good….. She is a liar about her being a threat to the others. I have watched since day one with Barbra until MM showed up. I am thrilled I can watch again without being sick …
