Crossing into the U.S. comes with many responsibilities as a highway carrier. Such as knowing what type of shipments you’re hauling and how they will be released at the port of arrival. One of the more common shipment types when hauling the U.S is a Section 321, otherwise known as a Type 86 entry, or a De Minimus Value Entry.

In this Cross-Border 101 video, we'll delve into the purpose of Section 321 in cross-border trade into the United States, its historical origins with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the requirements for Section 321 shipments, and the industries that most utilize Section 321 for low-value shipments. Importantly, we will highlight that as of 2019, filing Section 321 through ACE electronic manifest is mandatory.

ACE Manifest • ACI eManifest • RNS PARS Tracking • eManifest API • U.S. In-Bond Manager • 24/7 eManifest Support and Processing • Customs Consulting
