This is not retricted to client to client ou client to server aproachs but also can be applied to multiserver archtecture as Netflix, facebook, google and a lot of players are in the market.

I have been thinking about blockchain technology, like the underlying system on Steemit.

On the Steemit platform it is impossible to edit your postings after a month or so and this got me thinking that this is really a dangerous situation if you look at future possibilities:

Suppose someone starts creating virusses or malware on blockchains!
( and probably this is allready happening as I write this, mark my words!)

**That would mean it will be impossible to get rid of them!**

In fact it is allready possible to use ethereum as a coding platform to create so called Dapps ( distributed apps )

These Dapps can exist on a lot of ( distributed) places on the net, which means that the apps cannot crash or dissapear: they will be allways here. The blockchain will make it impossible to get rid of them...

Combine this with some AI and that starts to sound like a new lifeform....

Yuval Noah Harari speaks in his fantastic book about Homo Deus, as the successor of Homo Sapiens, but maybe this have to be changed to Homo Dapp...

Homo Sapiens will die, Homo Dapp will live forever!

As I type this I am constantly aware that everything I type on my Steemit blog will exist on the blockchain forever, even long after we are all dead!

Maybe Homo Dapp will be able to delete the then outdated content that is no more of interest to.... Who?

Of no interest to some "smart" softwares that exists inside an enormous web of servers fed by giant solar plants.
These software entities will be "doing" their things, their computations, replicate themselves, invent new software entities.

No more need for Oxygen, CO2, Animals, plants, humans...

There's one thing that I never truly understand.
in your first point, how users would make money from their data? How would that happen?

Like.. if I create a decentralized whatsapp, how would the users make money from their data?
Would it be becoming a validator of the blockchain? If so, would it work by them being paid with my crypto-currency and having it as "stocks"?
If the user doesn't became a validator, how would that work? And I'm thinking about it having my own crypto-currency instead of ethereum. Just so I can picture how that would work.

I can't see how they would make money out of that. =o I am crazy to understand it

I'm pretty new to eth, but i almost feel like this video titel should be renamed something like "5 benefits and reasons to use Ethereum and decentralized apps". I think this vid gives a pretty good high level quick overview of what Eth is trying to do...Like this seems like the kind of video you could show someone who isn't very technical, but wants to know what Eth is about and it's end goal.

Great video just curious on how else can you monetize with dapps besides selling personal data especially since networks like ethereum are open source? cant someone just remake your dapp and cut you out of the profit.
