Car washing techniques - the no swirl installation method!

I've been asked to produce a car washing video with how I go about a fairly average maintenance wash and what tools/gear/cleaners I use to get the job done.

While this video shows my 'fancy' new pressure washer, I've washed cars for years with a basic hose, garden hose foamer and soaps similar to what I use now.

I know this is a controversial and very personal topic (for some reason) so this merely showcases some of the methods and tricks I've adopted along the way.

As I've promised yesterday I'll explain a bit more about cleaning:
You have 4 methods of cleaning wich work together:
1:different types of Wheel brush(for barrel outer side etc)
2: Bucket of warm soapy water, wich removes dirt and loose brake dust
3: Acid and Alkaline wheel cleaners, wich works best when " agitated ", wich means gently brushed.
Alkaline wheel cleaners are gentlier than acid, but acid wheel cleaners acts better with heavy brake dust deposits, expecially really old ones.
4: iron removers, high cost but really good to remove dust you can't remove with alkaline and less aggressive than acid.
Hydr02 or any other wheel coating makes cleaning much better/easier.

Being that the top is not completely water proof as you eluded: were you able to clean the canvas top piece from time to time or what was your procedure there due it being a spyder?

Yeah, wheels take me the longest...
1-2 hours no kidding... 😲
That's why I just coat them With Hydr02 and the sometimes just use the pressure washer, the if I need to do the perfect cleaning I use Labocosmetica Primus ( google it for info) , then every 2-3 months Iron Remover.
Just takes wayyyy too much time and effort to do the whole process.
