Another additional “Staring at the Stars” and “Cow/Milk” is that in Greek myth, The Stars were created when Babby Heracles bit Hera’s breast which shot Milk into the sky creating the stars, therefore The Milky Way Galaxy, double entendre since Galaxy comes from Galaxias which literally means Milky in Greek. So the Milky Way Milky is where we reside.

Sea slugs in general are also just called ウミウシ (umiushi) or literally sea cow in Japanese, so I think that played a big role in Gastrodon's design. I love looking at different Pokemon from a Japanese perspective to get a better insight into their origins.

When you started talking about starting at at the stars, the context of cows made me think of that poem about the two headed calf staring at the sky and so there being twice as many stars that night.

Fun Fact: Typhlosion can also learn Zen Headbutt via TM. Johto Typhlosion. So its not the typical Ghost mons learning a handful of psychic moves thing. Typhlosion just can.
