Brief History: Skirts and Pants

Discriminatory dress codes are harmful for women, LGBTQ people, and everyone.

We’re still fighting for the right to wear pants, but how did we get here? Here’s a brief history lesson.

Nothing wrong with gendered clothes. The only issue is forcing people to wear certain clothes without just cause. I don’t think men should wear dresses but if you do it’s your business.

I agree people should have a right to choose what they want to wear but I’m a girl and I am SO tired of people thinking I’m a “girly girl” because I wear skirts most of the time. I stopped wearing pink in general when someone asked if it was my favorite color when I wore a pink skirt ONCE. We should really see skirts as a everyone thing(they’re quite comfortable)

People should be free to wear whatever they want. But certain situations require you to wear certain clothes like you wouldn’t show up to a wedding or a job interview wearing a white tank top and ripped jeans

I agree. All women should have to wear pants, button up long sleeve shirts, tied and dress jackets just like men. That’ll make things fair, equitable and take care of the sexist a/c problem.
