After Effects: Glitch Artifacts Tutorial (No Plugins)

In this tutorial, we'll cover how to create some digital artifact elements right within After Effects using no 3rd party plugins. Use this technique to tweak it to taste by adding more distortion, adjusting colors, playing with blending modes, and using multiple instances. Even after all the solo selections are switched off I can only see the solid/artifacts that are on the top layer, I can't see both at the same time. Any thoughts?

trying this in AfterEffects 2024, having a hard time getting the random/polarize time/wiggle expression to work :/ I think I typed it exactly as shown, anyone else having this issue or know how to troubleshoot??
