It sounds like all of the CAQs are similar in this nature. I've been practicing Psychiatry for 10 years and I have to get my CAQ to satisfy additional requirements to gain higher reimbursement for my BCBS payers. I'm not even sure they can legally require this, but I'm doing it just because I don't feel like fighting with them. The CAQ practice questions available online are ridiculous, way too difficult, or way too easy- making me ask, "What am I missing here?" Others are just plainly trick questions. This is costing me time that I could be spending to actually help patients.

Hi. I am a physician assistant that just took her CAQ for EM and also got my results and "failed." I only took it because it was required by my current ER I am working in to get my bonus. I was really upset when I got my results but also feel like the Exam asked questions that had nothing to do with Emergency medicine. I have to take it again unfortunately but at this point I don't know what to do to study for it. I did the review book they offer and Rosh review

What is your opinion of the doctorate degree being offered for PAs? Seems like a money grab for some universities. I’m not going to introduce myself as “doctor” because I feel it would be misleading the patient. Also, my PA alma mater is charging $60K but, to my knowledge, there is no financial benefit for doing it. 🤷‍♂️

Book smarts and " street smarts are two different animals. You by far are one of the smartest practitioners I have ever seen. I am not a big fan of the CAQ.
