I really liked "The Guest List" by Lucy Foley. I listened to it completely on audiobook. It's a character-driven murder mystery. I think it was intentional that many of the characters were unlikeable and flawed. I really enjoyed her treatment of the characters and the mystery.

☕ this is one of my all-time favorite wrap-ups on booktube just because of the way you spoke of each and every book you read in july, it was really really compelling. i was so sucked in on how you put into words the appeal of the friends to lovers trope for "people we meet on vacation" and your criticisms of "what big teeth", and your thoughts on the thematic elements of "malibu rising" was just so well-done that it convinced me to pick up that book since i am a huge fan of books that explore familial relationships, both strained and heartfelt. thank you for this video and these new books on my tbr, and i hope august is a good reading month for you, as well as just a nice and fun month for you in general as summer draws to a close

The Silent Patient is an all time favorite of mine, highly highly recommend! The Maidens by this same author is also really good! In both books the ending throws you for a loop, which is something I really love!

Hey I’m currently reading the Maidens! And your explanation of the Silent Patient helped me make the connection between several characters in the Maidens. I haven’t read the Silent Patient yet, but now I know where a few of the Maiden side characters came from lol!!

These are the books I read in July- The mighty heart of sunny st.James- absolutely loved it, Nimona- absolutely loved it too, Stargirl, New kid, Out of my mind and that's it...
I did try to read -The train to impossible places but it was a disappointment, im sorry I dnfed it 🤧.. Like I was not really interested in the story and I just couldn't carry on... I would like to give it another try but not for a looong time...
