Crashed just the other day. Gear saved me. My arai helmet not the least. Now looking for a replacement and of course it will be an arai. I washed out my front wheel on gravel at about 45 mph when my bike decided its throttle wouldnt close. Washed out the front trying to slow the bike down and not realizing the issue yet. Slammed the ground with my face first then rolled over and tumbled a good bit. Somewhat scrapped up (i was mostly well geared) and a slightly stiff neck. No damage at all to my face and head even though the initial point of impact was my face. I have really always liked arai, but with this incident, ill never wear another and looking to upgrade to an even nicer model. I had the signet. Think im gonna go for the quantum next. I also have an XD4 which is a fantastic helmet. Arai is king of quality comfortable helmets that will reliably save your life like it did mine. I know it was only 45 and on gravel, but the force at which i slammed the ground would likely have left me dead or in a hospital using a feeding tube if not for my arai. If any engineers from arai happen to read this, im personally thanking you for the care and quality you put into your helmets.

I find arai to be the most comfortable. But they do have their niggles. One thing I don't like is the face shield clasp. Second thing is the brow vents on the face shield are very fragile, they do bring in a lot of ventilation. The mouth vent on the corsair x and some other models is also very fragile, I guess that's being light weight .
