Is this Built-in cam available on the Niro HEV 2023 for Australia, as I don't see it in the list of options in the brochure. I have a car on order and would really like to have the built-in dash cam included. It is definitely a selling point for me.

Unfortunately as I found out today the dash cam option for front and rear using the existing camera system is not available in the UK, only in Europe. This is, so I'm told, a Kia decision. I don't understand why this decision has been made or whether it is due to existing legislation. Perhaps somebody knows more but its taken the shine off waiting for my new niro PHEV 4. Even more disappointingly is the fact that I now understand that there is no plug connection in the trunk/boot for a standalone dash cam like I have set up in my existing VW. Maybe a lesson for Kia to take note. NOT A GOOD START Mr Kia.

How do you get the video out if the car is totalled? A running backup on a sdcard would be nice.

niro EV 4 with heat pump ordered April 28th with anticipated delivery end August. Will the Cam be fitted to UK deliveries? Anyone know?

I have PHEV Kia Sorento 2023 in Australia, but cannot see this option available, very disappointment the way the amount spend nearly AUD$90k. :(

A very useful feature but it's not available for majority of us out there except Europe. And to install a third party dash cam could void warranty as advised by Kia Service, so what Kia expect us to do? Really disappointed!

My Niro EV 4 is 11 days old and I’m already having issues. The car often (3 times so far) refuses to move into gear. It seem it’s immobilised! I turn the car off and lock it then go back a few minutes later and it will start ok. Not good for a car that cost 43k

Very disappointed.
They'll FORCE you to buy LoJack (designed for dealers and government to track and disable YOUR car at YOUR expense), but won't allow you to monitor YOUR car personally.
