Well, after some years waiting, we finally have Octopath Traveler II with us. And it's BEAUTIFUL.

I waited until the launch day only to hear the entire version of Osvald Theme, which captured my heart from the beggining when they started releasing the OST's demos.

So I wanted to make a rendition. It's more of a replica than anything, with more amateurish sound lol

Osvald's story is an actually well-written revenge story because it addresses the 'now what?' after Osvald actually gets his revenge, which is something I find Primrose's story lacked. Also the plot twist (if you know you know) is just amazing writing-wise.

Some might say Harvey is really shallow, and I agree. However, that's what I like about him. He's such an irredeemable POS (to put it lightly) and you only hate him more as the story progresses. He's one of those villains you absolutely love to hate.

A brilliant scholar, a honest and diligent man, but most of all a loving husband and father.

This is what makes Osvald such a great character. His bitterness is fully understandable, but it is not all that is to him. I loved it, when he told Harvey: "Keep my research. But why did you have to kill my wife and child?" It showed where Osvalds priorities lied. I also loved the flashback between him and Elena, where she tried to imitate him and he encouraged her.

I think his theme is my favorite next to Partitio's. You can just feel the half decade of anger and rage simmering in him, ready to boil over at whoever is unfortunate enough to stand between him and Harvey

Out of all the scenarios of the protagonists, I found Osvalds to be the most terrifying and heartwrenching

Osvald was my favorite character, and his theme is absolutely awesome. Him and temenos made my team into complete gods. His voice actor did a phenomenal job. There are some remixes on Apple Music/Spotify that make this song even better.

Yessss so happy you're into Octopath as well!! Their soundtracks are absolutely incredible. Hikari and Agnea's themes are my favorite from 2. This is an amazing cover, it suits Osvald perfectly! I'm amazed at how soulful you're able to make it with virtual instruments.
