Fantastic story.  I wish my two dogs would show back up.  They were microchipped.   I live in the country and they disappeared last year on the first day of deer hunting season.   I miss them a lot.

Hope they gave the guy something for getting the dog back to them. Note that he has some kind of real crap job in a restaurant and that he also had to make some extra effort to find the Namaths.

PLEASE don't let small children tote dogs like that! If the child would trip or someone snatch the dog from their arms. I am a firm believer in children knowing dogs and cats are not toys! They should not get poked on, tails pulled, or objects thrown at them. How did the dog get missing? Outside when walking dogs they should always be on a leash (not a chain), In Fenced yards some dogs will jump fences other dogs dig out and some people will even enter yards to steal dogs so you should keep your eye out on your dogs even when they are fenced in. It only takes once for a dog to go missing, get hit, or stolen. If it's hot or cold outside or bad weather the dogs should be inside!
