Back in 2011 Apple released the iPhone 4S. Has it stood the test of time? Let's go back and take a look :)

I still have my old iPhone 4S and 7 in my closet. Same for the first gen. iPod Touch (no charger for it though).

My mom had that phone and I desperately wanted one. She later got me an ipod touch 4 for christmas. I still have my mom’s 4s and can confirm it runs slow as heck on ios 9. plan on jailbreaking it this summer and downgrading to either 6 or 8.

I used my 4s until last year when they shut off 3g networking here in the U.S. The iPhone 4s does not support VOLTE, so is rendered unable to make calls. I really liked the small screen, 30 pin, and the headphone jack and power button on top. I got an iPhone 6 to replace it and used that several months, but didn't like it. It is too thin, and the screen is too big. I replaced that with a first generation iPhone SE which is much better. It is a reasonable 4" screen, although I would still rather have a 3.5, and the power button is back on top where it should be. The headphone jack is still on the bottom, but I can live with that.

You know, if Apple had just RMA'd the faulty 16GB logic board in my 4S instead of telling me that I'd have to pay for it out of warranty, I'd still have a 16GB 4S.

Because they did that, however, I bought a factory unlocked 64GB 4S instead that had been shattered and the frame had even begun separating.

I used that logic board as a donor and swapped it into my 16GB's minty fresh housing. I figured if I had to spend money anyway, why not upgrade?

Ever since then it's been working flawlessly.

I've also done that with my 6s Plus (it's a 128GB in a 16GB housing) as well as my XR (256GB in a 64GB housing).

This is the first iPhone I got to play with because my ex-gf had it back when it was released. I used to think it was an amazing phone because I was stuck with a basic Blackberry Curve which had none of the amazing features the iPhone had.

I used to us an iPhone 4S when I was young and man was it slow and a year later, I upgraded to the iPhone 5S and honestly, I am thinking of getting a first generation iPhone SE as an international use phone and let me be honest, Apple really has to bring back the 4 inch iPhone because that phone is better to use and it really fits better in the pockets but on the other hand, they gotta add USB C, the headphone port and all the accessories a current iPhone would come with

There is no device what is too slow to me... Some old Nokias are super slow compared to iPhone 4S with iOS 9.
