When I'm listening for and always interested in jazz guitar, in master classes like this, for example, it's interesting - how this great guitarists like Larry Koonse, Pasquale Grasso, Chico Penhiero are thinking about Django Reinhardt? I think, they shouldn't forget him, and his legacy! Did you heared how Bireli Lagrene playing bebop, for example? Or how about Rocky Gresset, who can't read the music, but have fantastic time feel. Or how about great Frank Vignola, Andreas Oberg, who are always remembering Django AS jazz guitar roots!
Joe Pass always remembered Django, George Benson always remembering Django, Tal Farlow always remembered Django, and Les Paul, and Duke Ellington, and Louis Armstrong, and many more of jazz masters! So that's jazz guitar roots!
