We desperately need to ban polygamy and force 1 child policy to reduce the stress on economy. Then Income tax can be reduced. We are raising half the population who do not earn as much as they get from govt including free ration, hospital etc because they are poor with 10 children. Stop the free schemes as well.

Don't talk about other developed countries. They don't need to invest crazily in their infrastructure they Just need to maintain it.

India needs to build new infrastructure, so the required money is more but the tax payers are just small fraction so the government is taxing so much just to keep country running with all the burden and keep growing.
