This Tudor Ranger is my dream watch. I'd take it any day over any watch. I do not go for hype or status nor will I ever sell it. I am going to buy it as soon as I am able. Already been saving for it for a while. Gonna be a blast wearing it everyday.

The question I would ask is, why does every watch have to be a ‘substitute’ or ‘alternative’ to the Rolex equivalent? You hear it constantly, in virtually every review. The Ranger is a great watch in its own right, as are many dive watches that get pigeon holed as ‘Submariner alternatives’ and so on.

Great review. I bought mine when they were first released and I love it. I hate all the negativity around it, people say it's plain or boring. The whole idea of it is to be simple. If you want flashy busy dials, buy a Seiko Flightmaster FFS

mine comes tomorrow! as a guy who's owned many rolex and tudor watches (as well as many other brands) i don't see this as an "entry level" watch. far from it. this is an actual tool watch, not conspicuous man-jewelry which i swore off of many years ago. i'm stoked!

The new Exp 1 wears too small. The aggressive taper really wrecked this new issue. Too dimunitive and disproportionate.
Much prefer the older 36mm reference 114270.
This new Ranger is spot on. Can't understand all the boring hate and sterile criticism. It shows how little many know of the vintage Ranger references.

I think its super clean....however if theirs anything id like to see its a couple of other face color options....pearl white, olive green, royal blue....same simplicity....just with another couple of colors.

It's nice. I keep imagining this watch with a sandwich dial. And I feel like a 38mm would suite me perfectly.... Slightly closer to the vintage size. If I we're designing it, I'd put the rose emblem and also polish the bezel. That would be hands down a perfect GADA watch for me. With a balance between sporty and dressy. Vintage and modern. I like this watch already. It could be pretty epic.

Great review...I was window shopping the other day with no intention on buying a watch, but wanted to see two watches in person, the Omega Railmaster and the Tudor Ranger...the Railmaster was underwhelming on my wrist...not to say it's not a beautiful watch, but was too dressy...then I saw the Ranger, they had only one in stock and I made the mistake of trying it on and it has not left my wrist since...I have a Rolex already that is my dress watch and have been considering a more tool/field type watch and the Ranger scratched that itch, which it does very well...

Enjoyed the review. This watch is really growing on me and considering picking one up. The only thing I would've liked is the Tudor shield on the dial to be red (to match the company/brand logo color).

Agree, wouldnt change anything but just 1 thing, add another line below ranger, either “100m” or “cosc-certified”.

Thats it. This watch served me well and is just what I needed, a versatile high quality yet low key for a travel watch.

I loved the green lume when I saw it in person. Earth toned. Adds to a toolish/military vibe and much better than faux patina.

I got a Tudor Ranger last year, when it was launched. The negative reviews around it had me back and forth on it... but after I tried it on for like the 4th time, I got it. It just suited me. Just finished taking it across Iceland, it was so easy to wear.

Where I live the Ranger and the BB 36 are at the same price €2930. So it’s a no brainer for the Ranger for the same price, you get the superb bracelet with T-Fit and MT5402 COSC certified. No brainer indeed and I’m getting it 😊
