These police and prosecutors are getting away with this, because it appears the court system is so corrupt in the UK, that they believe this case has a chance to succeed. If the justice system was working properly, this case would have been summarily dismissed. The courts should not be used to harass a private system, if I or any other private citizen were to bring a case like this forward, we would be labelled vexatious litigants and barred access to the courts. But when the police and crown prosecutors bring this nonsense forward, they get away with not being labelled vexatious. There is clearly a double standard, and the justice system is in dire need of reform. The system is rigged in favor of the government and private citizens do not have equal access to justice, this is the very definition of a police state. The United Kingdom has been a police state for a while.
