Myself I had probably one of the worst lifetime period seeking for a new job in the tech industry for the past year. after months, months and months of hard and dedicated time I finally signed a job I couldn’t even dream about and in such a good company!
For anyone in there desperately thinking this job searching phase will never end, don’t give up. it’s when you truly think that you’re maybe not intended to follow this path that the route starts to become clearer.

I dunno how you guys survive such an exhausting recruitment process in tech 💀 In creative industries I've had to survive creative/art tests and interviews for jobs but nowhere near that amount of stages, it sounds excruciating. I'm so happy for you and hope it all works out! ❤

Fortunately, I have severance so I am taking some time to figure out my next plans. I haven't been in the job market for years, so it is definitely a scary time (being over 50 as well). I am so sorry about your grandmother. I remember seeing her a few videos ago and that it was so great having her around as you go through all of this. I was really hoping she would be around for awhile. I was so shocked when I started this video and you stated that you had recently been traveling. I had to back up on your channel and figure out what I missed. Again, my condolences to you and your family. I can totally relate to being on edge about the results and being really stressed about the outcome especially in today's market. I found your channel when you first left Spotify. At that point, I had already unemployed in tech for five months. Your videos have brought me so much hope. Earlier this month, I landed a contract role in tech. I am hoping you will land one of these gigs with Company D or E. Don't underestimate yourself. You are an awesome candidate and I am wishing you the best! I cannot wait to see the outcome. Julia, you probably won’t read this comment, but I want to say I’m in the same situation as you, - exhausting, long lasting job search… and the only thing that kept my hopes up were your videos. And the fact that you literally just moved forward and I ALSO wasn’t rejected at my latest interview shows that we were really in it together hahaha! Congratulations Julia!! I am job searching too and I can totally relate to being anxious. I was pacing and pacing until finally my cat came to check on me 😂 I check my e-mail every hour, hour and a half (better than every 5 mins). I read some manifestation advice that if we keep on checking, it's like we're saying "it's not gonna come." I also try and have fun. I went to one of my favorite local restaurants and got a drink during the day. I heard from more than one company while I was there!

Congratulations!!! This was definitely a difficult journey with a few unexpected life moments, some rejections and doubts from some people but you persisted and now you are finally achieving the fruits of your hard work!!
