Dr. Joel, I seriously ask that you make publicly available on YouTube and other media methods a concise yet complete, in laymen's terms, your understanding of "Romans 9." I think this is extremely important to the Christian faith because "Chapter 9" has stumped many Christians through the centuries. And, I would have to say that, especially as regards the Epistles of Paul, he gets into such depth, and breaks his thoughts into topics, that many are confused about what Paul is actually conveying unless the reader objectively, patiently, and humbly takes the time to read the whole Epistle as one would read a book to understand the context, such as in the Epistle to the Romans.

The Epistles of Paul should be read as one complete thought, and read with consideration to the OT Scriptures he sites or refers to. The Apostle Peter indicates this difficulty with Paul's writings in "2 Peter 3:15-16, " which he states that the ignorant and unstable pervert to their own destruction. Paul rarely makes statements that can actually stand by themselves without understanding the context that leads him to make such statements. Yes, Paul does make summary statements that are clear by themselves, such as "Romans 1:16-17" and "Romans 5:1-2, " but many of his statements are not always clear by themselves; and so, many readers do not pay attention to the pronouns Paul uses, and to whom he was originally referring to perhaps many Passages earlier; for instance, after discoursing on "faith" and those who "believe" in "Romans 4" and "Romans 5:1-2, " Paul no longer uses the word "faith" or "believe" in the rest of Romans 5. Instead of using words "faith or "believe, " Paul uses pronouns such as, "we, " "us, " "our, " "you, " to refer back to what he previously discussed in "Romans 4" and "Romans 5:1-2" about believers, which the casual reader, who may be looking for proof-texts, would not understand; and so, such persons will pervert Paul's intended meaning by supplying their own doctrinal presuppositions to the proof-texts.

As well, at times, like in "Ephesians 2:8-9, " Paul uses complex grammar, rarely used in the Scriptures, that are difficult for even scholars of Greek to understand; and so, there continues to be disagreement on what passages like "Ephesians 2:8-9" is actually stating amongst Biblical scholars.
