#iphonetutorial #mactutorial

To sync iMessages on Mac, first open your system settings. If you haven’t signed into the same Apple ID account you use on your iPhone, click Sign In with Apple ID in the menu on the left. Log into the same Apple ID account you use on the iPhone you want to sync messages from. Once you’re signed in, select Password and Security. Make sure that two-factor authentication is set to On. Now that your settings are configured, open the Messages app. In the menu at the top, click Messages. Now select Settings. In the menu that appears, select iMessage. Now click the check box labeled Enable Messages in iCloud. Then click Sync Now. Your iMessages will then be synced from your iPhone to your Mac.

To sync your SMS text messages from your iPhone to your Mac, open the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down and select Messages. Now select Text Message Forwarding. Devices that are signed into the same Apple ID as your iPhone will appear in a list. Tap the switch beside the Mac computer you want to sync your text messages to. If prompted, enter the code that appears on your Mac screen into your iPhone.

Thanks a ton for this helpful and easy to follow tutorial. At first I was confused why none of my Iphone text messages were showing up on Mac, but this fixed it straightaway.👍🏽

I just upgraded to OS Sonoma on a Mac Mini M1 and iMessage does not work. It is currently in the attempting to sign out but the indicator is spinning and has been spinning for at least 24 hours. I do not have the 'Enable Messages in iCloud' option here but it is in the system settings under iCloud. Any suggestions?

I have Sonoma 14.1 and it does not have the same settings on your screen. I have "privacy and security" and "Touch ID & Password" Payment and Shipping is in "Wallet". Another couple videos have you go to the iPhone Mine is 13), then Messages, Then, "text message forwarding" which I do not have (as well as a bunch of other folks). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the video. Texting from my Mac has been working for years until today. I tried toggling Text Message Forwarding but couldn't turn it back on because the option disappeared after I turned it off. Rebooting phone didn't help. But then I noticed a new iOS (17.4) was available. Installed it, Text Message Forwarding returned, and everything works again. How very odd.

I’m signed into my Apple ID and have 2 factor authentication but don’t have the “Enable Messages in iCloud” option. It doesn’t even appear. My software is up to date. 😔
