Today I'm converting an old 300 litre wine barrel into a liquor strorage cabinet! With rotating shelves, in-built lighting, lockable doors and much more, I think it's the ultimate wine barrel!

Hope you enjoy the video!

By far the best one I have seen so far. Best design for doors and nice hinges . Great lazy susan idea. Ideal height for lower shelf. The issue near me is that the barrels available are over $200 used . I have seen people cut them in half so they have two half ones that fit flat against a wall.

Brilliant way to do the doors 👍 Lazy susams also a top idea. Only one question... why use a perfectly good ammo can geocache as a plant hanger? 😁

Mark what a great video, thanks for placing this online. Can you tell me where you got your hinges? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Great video. How did you measure for the shelves on the inside?

I have a question. In the video at timeline 1:51, you are cutting the top part of the door, but how did you get to begin this cut? I understand that you went straight up the middle of the barrel to cut between the left and right door. This would have been accomplished because of the hole where the bung would have been, but how did you create the opening to put the jig saw blade in without drilling a hole to begin this cut? I’m in the process of building one of these barrel bars for myself, and was stumped at how you began this left to right cut.

great work! what type of lumber did you use for the shelf/lazy suzan and how did you find the center of the bottom of the barrel to align the lazy suzan/wood to where it doesnt rub when you spin it?

Love the work and I’m in the process of building one myself. Question… how large of an opening did you cut for the door?
