Agadmator: “I still think castling was the better move here”

Dude literally was planning this game for probably 20 years plus. He knew the outcome 10-15 moves before it ended

I showed this game to all my friends too. What does it mean when people tell you to "get a life"?

"The greatest bishop pair ever." And one glance at the board confirms it. That is a beautiful checkmate. I always enjoy when a pawn can get in on the checkmate action. The idea a sacrificial piece can rise up is so symbolic and, of course, who doesnt love an underdog?

It looks so much like the 2021 game between Carlsen and Deutsch. Such a coincidence.

I like how you get excited talking about these old games, the play by play commentary really brings these games out of the history books for novices like myself who wouldn't otherwise know about them

I didn't have anybody to play chess either, I tried teaching chess to my neighbour as kid and had to lose by playing silly moves so he won't get bored of losing.

Obviously Max Deutsch traveled back in time to help Anderssen win this game

I think I might be a nerd, I love chess, suck at it, but still watch chess games for entertainment? This is the tenth game I’ve watched tonight. Thanks for posting I’m a new sub.

Such a beautiful game. Yet, your dog seems oddly uninterested.

Came here from Max Deutch vs Magnus 2021, after which Magnus retired from all formats of Chess.

If only Magnus Carlsen had seen this video before retiring from chess.

I subscribed after watching a few of your videos. Your enthusiasm for the game is really refreshing. I don't think I've seen other chess match reviews that use words like "beautiful" as much as you do, and it really takes the tone from what seems to be the normal, clinical analysis into something akin to an appreciation of fine art. Thank you for the change in perspective. This is the kind of insight and love of the game that I'm trying to teach my son.

I can not believe how much it is frustrating to be very close to checkmate your opponent and then lose.
Great video, keep up the good work 👍👍

Dufresne: "It was tough to find a tempo on which to castle. There were barely 7 or 8 opportunities to fit it in."

Magnus should have known about this game. He would not have lost to Max if he just have studied this game.
