Great review. I just bought this flash today. Your video was much better than trying to read the manual!

Thanks, I was trying to figure out how to use mine with my D800 for slave mode, and that explained it all perfectly.

Thanks. Great tutorial, clear and concise. I had to watch several of these before I found this one that I actually understood.

An instructive and helpful video. One thing, however, when you entered the Slave mode feature, you had it set for: "Cn" (Canon)  rather than "N" (Nikon). Interestingly, it seemed to work. Anyway, an otherwise great review. Thanks!

great video. I came across your video about the yongnuo 565ex, which I have, and never realized I could fire it without triggers. .nice. It works perfect because I tried it after watching the video. I purchased the 568ex model because it had hss. should work nicely with my nikon d7000.

So the flash's TTL works even just from a popup triggering it? It's not firing a manual flash? I thought that was only possible when using a compatible TTL wireless trigger?

What is the difference between YN468 II (iTTL for Nikon) and this flash YN565 (TTL for Nikon) ? Will YN565 automatically adjust the flash lens position based on the camera lens position similar to YN468 II (iTTL)? I want to buy one of this flash for Nikon D7000. Please suggest

I just noticed my d5200 doesn't have a commander mode, there is a way to control the flash remotely without CM?

Got a few questions:
1. Is this flash more powerful than Nikon SB700?
2. With SB700 set to i-TTL and put on a Pocketwizard TT5 and remote operated from an Pocketwizard mini-TT1 on top of a D800 and with AC3 (or SU-800) on top of the mini-TT1, this gives me commander mode control, can switch between Manual and i-TTL with SB700 on TT5. So... will this Yongnou flash allow me to do the same?
Any comments please.
