1. The environmental websites fighting against EIA and criticizing it have been unblocked.
2. High Court of Karnataka has asked Centre to publish EIA draft in regional languages and to publicise EIA, if not the court warned that new draft will be stayed🤩

The problems are
1. Post Facto clearance
1a. No information for strategic projects in Public review.
2. Bi-yearly compliance reports to Yearly compliance
3. Public Hearing removed from many important industrial and Construction projects.
4. Time of Public Hearing notice reduced to just 20 days
5. Construction projects don't have to get clearance upto project with area less than 1.5 Lakh sqm
6. Most absurd: Reporting cant be done by citizens. It can only be done by Govt approved party, client of Govt itself. In case the project proponent does some disobediences from EC norms they should come out by themselves and pay the fine otherwise if govt. Finds out they will double the fine.
7. The season for monitoring is reduced to just 2 mine months. Earlier it was 3 months.

what I think there should be inclusion of Technologies that are efficient to limit carbon from coal Industry upto 70%, there is a coal Industry in China, which uses this technology. Also the govt should limit the time to submit the regulation report by company from 1 year to every quarter. And environment clearance should not be given this easily to any company, which will set a positive attitude towards people and nature.
