Exactly why don’t celebrate Father’s Day because of memorial of dead people however it is sad but that doesn’t give me a Day to celebrate because every day I am a father and every day my father‘s love is appreciated.

There are those who say father's day should be changed to a special person's day in order to not offend children who are brought up by a single mom. What crazy times we live in!

I don’t have a good relationship with Father’s Day. My dad and his family abandoned me in my early teens/tweens. And I only saw him every other weekend- so I didn’t see him much, nor create a solid relationship with him. Our relationship is down to texting a couple times a year, which isn’t something to celebrate with him. You can be a dad, but that doesn’t make you someone who should be celebrated. It’s who you are. Absent fathers, fathers who are abusive, etc. should not be celebrated. We should celebrate people who do good to others, and that includes fathers. Anyone else feel this way or have similar experiences with their “father”?

In my country we celebrate it on march the19th.. It is the day that most people dont even knot that it's fathers day. Let alone buys crap and gift cards.
And those who do celebrate they spend time with their fathers. They maybe have lunch together. Mostly in either parents house or the childs house, if the child is an adult. They are gratefull for what the father does for them. That special bond between them. No comercial things

Father's day is special and very private for me now that my dad has passed. I don't want anyone intruding on my private time of tribute with comments blah blah. I hate my mother for all the negative things she tries to say that she contributed to. 🖕

I had people post on Father’s Day over a shirt I was given in 2016 and now since 2016 people have been threatened and led into violence by people I’ve known since 1987 over hating an integrated charter school in Alabama and other hateful politics since 2016 that I would not commit violence over.

Yes 😂🥰😂🥰. I. Do. Agree. Father's. Day. Should. Be. Changed. To. Special. Persons. Day. Altogether. We. Underestimate. Greatly. Our. Father's. Husbands. And. Brothers. Only. When. They. Are. No. Longer. With. Us. Do. We. Realize
