I think John is at his peak right now. He came a long way from writing chick flick songs like “Your body is a wonderland” to something so meaningfull and permanent like this tune. Good artist will always progress, but I think only the few reach the level on which he is now.

Absolutely love this song. Paradise Valley is a masterpiece. It is just crafted so beautifully from start to finish. I can't listen to one song without listening to all of them. I never recommend one song. I recommend the entire album because it's that good.

Appreciating JM's artistry in 2022! Time stands still for this man. His storytelling skills are speaking as loudly as ever in this sweet little tune where he displays love through the eyes of a 15 year old boy. He leaves a lot to the imagination. So the listener can pretty much fill in the blanks with their own variations, since we all pretty much have one of these to relate to during our own 'wonder years.'
