Just watched this video again and it reminded me of how pole pots have come on over the years, in fact I remember my brother having one of those black and white screw on pole pots back in the 90's when we had our first poles. I've now just ordered some of the current matrix pole pots along with the latest Preston ones and a pack of paste pots along with a new Preston seatbox and accessories ready for when I am fit enough to start fishing again as you really inspire me to keep on with my fishing

Hi Jon thanks for brightening up my day with another video.I have had to make all my pots for my pole as the hole are much to big in the shop one’s never fit my top kits got fed up with putting tape on the top kits years ago like you I have tried many varieties over the years .cheers

Well Jon. Did you see the beautiful Red Kite behind you in the earlier part of this? Thanks for doing these vids for us. bored right now. Really happy to see you alive and well. Got a like, not because I'm in love with mini plastic bottle tops, but it's all I can do to show my support, and hope it encourages you to keep going. Having said that, I have a question you could help me with: many match anglers have said how they watch their competitors, to see if they're bagging up with a different style, then they fish in a similar style and also bag up. Ok, I'm fine with that and it makes sense. But then if no one is catching, and are fishing several styles between them, how would you adjust your approach your fishing, or even, would you make changes and wait to see the formular that hints of success?
I'm not a match man, but I still get curious about all types of fishing in the search for something that fits well with limited abilities, and still bring in some really nice fish.

Do you remember the slider pole pot where you had a post that fixed to the end of your pole tip and then you had a pot free running along your pole so you would fill the pot up and give it a good shove and it would slide down the length of your pole till it hit the post at the tip and then it would swing up and empty the contents ..can’t think why it didn’t catch on 😀 it was about as much use as the pole roller glove basically a glove with little rollers stitched into it to aid shipping out

Another great video Jon 👍. Do you know what’s the smallest diameter the matrix pots fit ? I have a browning black magic 3 and even though I don’t use the first section all the pots I’ve bought before end up about a foot from the tip. Cheers mate
