Looks like Count Dooku (or maybe Christopher Lee himself too).

Yesterday was the first time I've checked DeviantArt in a year. After a couple minutes scrolling down the homepage, your art of the Shipwright was the *only* non-AI art that I saw. Lo and behold, here you are on my Youtube homepage the next day. I didn't realize what the story was about, even though when viewing the art I thought "wow, I wish people drew stuff like this for Pre-Flood stories." Now I see the foot treading on the snake's head, and the snake biting the heel, and my hopes are heightened.

This is already the best interpretation of the Bible I’ve ever seen.

1:46 They weren't necessarily shepherding just sheep!

I love the character you created here. I love the idea of a shepard who has been alive so long that he basically understands everything and anything releated to his crafted. And that he is a master at his craft. He seems the perfect fit for the task at hand.

I feel we are ignoring like 80% of what a shepherd life is in that description. Like he would have hunted any animal that could poach his herd, built a water reservoir to keep them near drinkable water. Would have built sturdier shelters to keep them enclosed, done 800 years of home repairs, patching scratches, painting walls, raising fences. Builder, hunter, architect of aqueducts, doctor, veterinarian. If you give a man enough time, he will build the basics of civilization 100s of times over. Hell if you gave me a 100 years and the wool that comes with it. I would also probably become a master weaver. Just saying.

I see Noah, but I also see Odysseus, and maybe a bit of Marcus Aurelius if only in the stoic vibe

Matt, you are taking what is a largely brief and in many ways, vague, story and turning it into something incredibly fantastical. So awesome to see your creativity and imagination at play in this.

This is one of the interesting takes on Noah, or any other biblical character for that matter, I’ve ever seen.

This is wonderful. Makes my attempts at worldbuilding look lazy and incompetent. Damn you, you talented fellow

Seth is the third son of Adam, Shem is the third son of Noah. The Shipwright.

Absolutely love this format! Infusing storytelling into a concept breakdown like this is delightful. Spending some extra time to talk process and learnings from Tellurion is even better--couldn't ask for more!

I've loved reading Tellurion as it came out on DA, and have the book on my shelf. I love your expressive art and have enjoyed following along on your stories.

I was taught Noah story since i was a child. And honestly this project + "Noah"(2014) film is the only ones who made Noah cool.
