That’s A LOT of money.

On Doublelift’s Trash Talk podcast — T1’s CEO Joe Marsh revealed that Faker brushed off an insane contract from an LPL team during his free agency.

But Faker is not about that life.

after what they did to bengi, faker's not gonna join LPL. and LPL is not just trying to get him to win, but also because Faker is League of Legends. One of the reasons why retired players like me are still watching LoL pro matches is because Faker's in it. Which means if they get faker, all eyes will be on them. And that is a massive publicity and sponsor magnet.

China: I give you 20M if you join with us.
Faker: No.
China: Why?
Faker: I don't need that, I want Trophy

At his stage of life where he has more money than he could spend he is probably thinking about leaving a legacy. Playing in China will make him rich but his legacy won't be as solidified due to the lack of possibilities for his life there.

I hate the point that gaming is just business nowadays, sure its great thing for everyone but I dont want to reach to the point that you just play just for the money, no fun and new experience, just money... But this is pointless cuz nowadays money can buy everything even happiness

Is not about the money I guess. He's already comfortable in Korea, also imagine if a faker goes to china, he needs to learn a new language and it will turn into a communication issue and down his performance just like nuguri. And then after a year, he leaves or back to Korea again. Building chemistry is really important for esport players because they're a team and meeting new people? you need time to do it. I see no problem now, as you can see T1 right now is incredible because the chemistry is there already.

Faker is smart. Chinese team can offer 20M, but they may not be able to pay it. LoL.
