I also can't wait to tell you about the sweetest surprise that Leon had waiting for me when I arrived here! Spoiler alert: it was a signed copy of Intermezzo by Sally Rooney! I'm so happy for you, Carolyn!!😍 It's really funny to me that you temporarily moved to the UK just as I temporarily moved to the US for grad school. I'm in Illinois now, doing my MA/PhD in literature, and I couldn't be happier. Everything has been so magical. I love my classes, the town, and the people. I made so many freinds immediately. I've been reading so much for class, but also a little outside of the class context. I'm loving my Milton class the most. He's the reason I chose this school in the first place :) I listened to the entirety of Even If This Love Disappears Tonight the other day, which was so so moving. It's so lovely seeing you so happy!! I wish you guys SO much fun and happiness over there close to my own home (as a European)!!❣💕📚
