Interesting how back in the 2000's basic hygiene and taking care of yourself were deemed to be feminine, and now, taking it to the extreme is treated as the height of masculinity. Caring about your appearance is all well and good, but should not be taken to either extreme, and it's a shame our culture encourages people to take it so seriously.

I like how you mentioned how it used to be the opposite extreme in the 2000s with the term "metrosexual", which implied that caring about your appearance and hygiene was somehow feminine or unmanly.

But yeah there's a thin line between having a healthy awareness of your appearance and using it to boost your confidence, and obsessing over it to make up for your lack of confidence.

Mogging doesn't exclusively focuses on size at all but in all things. It means eclipsing someone else or more most of the time in looks like face mogging or jaw mogging but also appearing superior next to others in things like intelligence or popularity.

idk about everyone else but i been caring about my looks because it makes ME happy to look good, for example someone snaps a photo with me in the back and i end up looking good on the photo, it could potentially probably make my day. though im not necessarily obsessed with my looks to the point of causing myself harm or waste too much time doing something to make me more attractive thats just weird imo

I have adopted the mindset of appearance being a tool. It is undeniable that outward looks heavily influence how one is perceived by others so I think it reasonable to improve once appearance. Especially passive like with mewing. To make interactions with others easier. Sport and good diet also improve once quality of life so what is there to hate?
But yeah you shouldn't take it to far or base your self worth on such things as they are at the end of the day mostly out of your control. Personality, social skills confidence and a lot of other things are equally or more important to interacting with others
